Abstract

|
Pilsicainide is a class IC antiarrhythmic drug, or pure sodium-channel blocker with slow recovery kinetics, and is effective in terminating recent-onset AF with a single oral dosage. Pilsicainide has been proven successful in treating both ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias with few adverse effects; it is especially effective in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. In the present report, we review the pharmacokinetics, drug efficacy, and adverse effects of pilsicainide.
